My Life Fell Apart After Married at First Sight: Hannah Norburn Opens Up About Losing Her Home and Business

Former Married at First Sight UK contestant Hannah Norburn has spoken candidly about the difficulties she has faced since appearing on the popular reality television series. While many viewers assume that appearing on a major TV show leads to wealth, fame, and endless opportunities, Hannah says her experience has been the exact opposite.
Following her time on the show, Hannah returned to running her personal training studio. Although the exposure from MAFS helped her build a larger online following, it did not provide the financial stability many people expected. As living costs continued to rise, her fitness business became increasingly difficult to sustain, eventually forcing her to make the heartbreaking decision to close it.
The challenges did not end there. Hannah also revealed that she has been asked to leave the home she has been renting because the property owner plans to sell it. She had hoped to purchase the house herself but admitted that her financial situation has made that impossible, leaving her searching for a new place to live.
Hannah said that many people believe reality TV contestants immediately become rich influencers, but she insists that this image is far from reality. According to her, maintaining a career after television requires constant hard work, and social media often creates unrealistic expectations by only showing the highlights of people’s lives.

In addition to financial pressures, Hannah has also faced emotional struggles. After appearing on MAFS, she was diagnosed with ADHD, a diagnosis she says helped explain many of the behaviours that viewers criticised during the show. She admitted that the condition causes her to experience emotions more intensely, making the recent setbacks even more challenging. Despite feeling overwhelmed at times, she continues to work on managing her mental health and remains determined to rebuild her life.
Rather than giving up, Hannah is now focusing on a fresh start. She is developing an online wellness coaching platform, hoping to use her experience to help others improve their physical and mental wellbeing. She believes this new direction will allow her to continue supporting clients while adapting to the changing fitness industry.
Reflecting on her experience with Married at First Sight, Hannah acknowledged that the show brought both opportunities and hardships. Although she endured criticism, online trolling, and public scrutiny, she praised the programme’s psychological support team for providing assistance during filming. She also urged people not to rush to judgment regarding allegations involving other cast members, encouraging fairness until official investigations are completed.
Despite the setbacks of losing both her business and her home, Hannah remains optimistic. She says she is determined to rebuild her career, embrace new opportunities, and prove that difficult times can become the foundation for a stronger future.
