Four Toronto Blue Jays players have a chance to reach milestone accomplishments this season, and Opening Day is just over a week away. Bo Bichette, José Berríos, Daulton Varsho, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. are all expected to have successful seasons this year. In baseball, hitting milestones is noteworthy because they show off outstanding achievements, shape a player’s career, and serve as benchmarks for evaluating the performance of the game’s best players. Let’s examine the records that these four players have the potential to surpass this season.
This season, four Blue Jays players could reach significant milestones: Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
Before going free-agent next winter, the 26-year-old slugger is about to begin the last year of his contract with the Blue Jays. Vladdy is on track to achieve 1,000 hits in his career. For the Dominican great, who has received four All-great selections, this would be a noteworthy accomplishment. He recorded 199 hits in the previous season and now has 905 hits in his career. Therefore, if he remains healthy, he shouldn’t have any trouble achieving 1,000.
Varsho has made modifications at the plate that have resulted in more home runs, which has allowed him to put up an impressive showing during spring training. He hit 18 last season, but with his new strategy, he might surpass his 2022 career best of 27 with the Arizona Diamondbacks. It’s not impossible that Varsho, 28, will have his first season with 30 home runs.
