This is one of the best theories in The Broken Ring, Chapter 29, so read on.

1st life; family arrangement to marry the prince He is a walker and can’t keep it in his pants. He passes one on to her that causes a miscarriage. She does it by herself.

2nd life; is engaged to the prince as a small child. But she falls in love with a poor young artist, and they elope and run away. They do love each other, but love doesn’t really make it a functional marriage. They have a kid. Her parents are mad, so they unalive her husband, kill their child, and she once again unalives him to hide the “shame” of having a child with a poor person.

The Broken Ring Chapter 29 Theory

3rd life; she chooses her own intended to avoid being engaged to the pretty blonde boy.

But I don’t get it? If that’s the case, I heard from someone that Carcel himself also committed suicide after discovering that Ines had died, and apparently he kills himself in every lifetime he’s in. So my question is, how come he’s the only one who doesn’t remember his past lives?
