Honestly, I am very pleased with his dad’s reaction. He was worried he’d resent his son for getting more involved with the family business and the negative aspects that come with it. The scene prioritizing him feeling guilty about his temporary greed tells me that he never has and is just a really good, supportive father who wants his son to do what makes him happy. at least for now, but I hope that sticks as the story progresses.
