Big congratulations:Evanescence Frontwoman Amy Lee Welcomes Baby Boy

Los Angeles, CA — June 13, 2025

Amy Lee, the powerhouse vocalist and co-founder of rock band Evanescence, has welcomed a new addition to her family — a healthy baby boy. The singer, 43, shared the joyful news with fans early Friday morning through a heartfelt post on her official Instagram account.

“He’s here 💙 Born June 12th. The most beautiful sound I’ve ever heard was his first cry. We’re completely in love,” Lee wrote, sharing a black-and-white photo of her newborn son’s tiny hand wrapped around hers.

A Musical Mom’s Growing Family

This is the second child for Lee and her husband, therapist Josh Hartzler, who were married in 2007. The couple already share a son, Jack, born in 2014. The family has long maintained a relatively private life, but Lee has occasionally shared motherhood reflections in interviews and on social media — often describing how becoming a parent has influenced her music and worldview.

“She’s incredibly grounded as a mom,” said a source close to the singer. “Amy’s intensity onstage is balanced by this deep, nurturing calm in her personal life.”

Band and Fans Celebrate the News

Members of Evanescence quickly congratulated Lee online, with drummer Will Hunt posting:

“Congrats to the queen herself! Welcome to the world, little rocker!”

Fans around the world flooded Lee’s social media pages with messages of support and joy. The hashtags #BabyLee and #AmyLeeBabyBoy began trending within hours of her announcement.

What’s Next for Amy Lee?

Lee, who completed the band’s “Echoes and Ashes” tour earlier this year, had kept her pregnancy mostly out of the public spotlight, only confirming it during a surprise stage announcement in late February. At the time, she told fans she was “grateful for this season of growth, in every sense.”

A representative for the band confirmed that Lee will take a short maternity leave, with new music “very much in the works” for 2026.

Congratulations to Amy, Josh, and big brother Jack on their newest family member!
